Membership framework

Responsible participation, reviewed with care.

CMF welcomes working and independent journalists, editors, photo and video journalists, digital creators, students, educators, researchers, media-rights professionals and eligible media organisations.

Current intake criteria

  • A genuine connection to journalism, media education, research, press freedom or public-interest communication
  • Verifiable professional identity, affiliation or published work appropriate to the applicant’s career stage
  • Commitment to accuracy, verification, corrections, editorial independence and human dignity
  • Respect for constitutional values, lawful conduct and non-discrimination
  • Acceptance of CMF’s review process; submission does not guarantee membership
